Inspiration for writing

The author, illustrator and self-publisher, is an African Lady who enjoys writing, among other activities.   She is comfortable  expressing her African paradigm and sharing the cultural framework in an intelligent manner.

Gertrude was a school parent governor for four years until May  2016.  She has many talents.  Previously her  professional background has been in law, followed on by public  sector housing business management (working in various positions and as an independent board member).  She enjoyed learning formal studies - such as African Studies at Goldsmith College, Built Environment, Project Management and support teaching of young persons. She loves literature and has studied both English and French literature.  She can read in Twi (mother tongue).

She honed her creative skills by learning how to sew, arts and family learning activities. Her European Studies at Unversity of Lille (France) encouraged her to love the arts and cultural expressions. Currently she’s pursuing the Collections and Curators  course with the Victoria & Albert Museum, London.

Obviously her  writing to an extent is a step to motivate children’s       learning and their academic aspirations.  In  the 21st-Century         cosmopolitan  society, she hopes to encourage enquiring minds and the understanding of different cultures among the young readers.

Happy reading children!
You’re all stars and there’s more in you.
